Thanks Mark - I'll assume parallel then which means I need to shoot for +2° relative to horizontal. I need to make some accurate measurements to establish the actual angle of my chassis relative to horizontal, as I did the last set of measurements using a spirit level and protractor, but not on a necessarily level surface.
Hopefully I will find that I'm only a couple of degrees out.
Something must be wrong with my set-up. You don't get gear oil coming out of the halfshaft for no reason. And there's no oil seal to blame either - the oil thrower is supposed to be enough. My contention is, at this driveline angle, it isn't.
I think there must be a difference between jacking the car up (possibly for days on end) and driving it for mile after mile at this angle (over 300 miles this week, more than 250 yesterday alone).
I'll let you know how I get on.
