Thanks for advice, I was think in this question, and need some opinions:
I have an 1.7cc engine on carbs, with a full overhaul, but my original engine is an 1.3cc and I think the gearbox are to short for 1.7 them I buy a 16v gearbox (have the 3.88 differential right?).
I like know how I can check the condition of gearbox, synchronizer rings is the more important I think, and if this ratio are good for my engine.
My engine have new pistons (87.6), dellorto 40 (all std), magnecor spark plug leads, golden lodge 25hl spark plugs, K&N filter (on original box), all other this are clean\checked and stay original, I can expect power\torque gains with this things? how is the increment?
I have 1.7 manifold and rest of line from my 1.3 on carbs, that are right for new engine? I think remove the centre box and stay only the final 1.3 box, he will be making too much noise?
