Re: Leaded vs unleaded 1.5 Alfa 33 engines
Given that we no longer have leaded fuel in Cyprus, due to some ecological bs, I was forced to use unleaded petrol in all my engines.
Here we have 95 octane, 98 octane and 100 octane fuel.
I've been using 98 octane unleaded for the past.... I donno, 4 or 5 years. Never ever had a problem with valves or heating up.
When I'm broke I use 95 octane in my sprint, no difference noticed there either.
Also, if anyone is interrested , I saw a show on discovery channel, I think it was myth busters ??? cant remember... anyway, they did a dyno test using 3 different types of fuel on 3 different cars.
Dyno showed that the only car that had an effect on higher octane fuel was a turbo subaru impreza. All other cars had the same dyno output power.
