Re: Rear disc brakes on 33
The rear hubs are still available from Alfa according to my parts disc (sept 2008) and are around £100 each, the snag is that the part they attach to (described as a "steering knuckle" is only available for one side), calipers are relatively easily obtainable from various sources and the discs are also easy enough to get (both standrard and after market, Tarox do them for example). Handbrake cables may be tricky, don't think they're available any more but you could get some made up by a company like speedycables.
I've often wondered if you could maybe use Alfasud rear hubs, they all had disc brakes although you couldn't use the calipers as theres no handbrake on them.
Another idea I've heard of is to use 155 rear hubs but I don't actually know anyone who has done this.
I believe AH Motorsports did a conversion kit but I'm not sure if its still available, still on their website though. Might also be worth trying some of the other companies that do race preparation eg BLS or Brunswick motorsport.
I think your chances of finding an ABS car thats breaking for spares are slim....
