Chilling Selenia!?!?!?!?!?

Hi fellows!

I was wondering if I'm using the right oil for my boxer engine with only 42000 km.
As I'm stuck to Selenia for many years I got the same Selenia 20K(10 40)for my new engine with 42000km. I was told I should use (5 40).

Is Selenia 20K ok or is to thick for this engine???

Note: Sometimes I use the car in the track...

Re: Selenia!?!?!?!?!?

Hello, I would have thought 10/40 would be fine for a low mileage boxer, you wouldn't want anything thinner.

Re: Selenia!?!?!?!?!?

If you track it sometimes I would run the selenia. A good 10w40 is ok for the road but the boxer runs very hot on track so something thicker like the selenia is needed. I sttill have very good oil pressure at 135 degrees with selenia, with a 10w40 its a good 10psi less!!
