I'm biting my tongue a bit here... but I will just ask how anyone can compare the Minari, which has a styled
exterior, to the random pile of bits that is the collective pantheon of 7evens
Minari = fibreglass monocoque, 7even = crude spaceframe
Minari = short wheelbase, 7even = looooong wheelbase
Minari = urgent FWD handling, 7even = terminal understeer
Minari = Alfa Romeo running gear, 7even = Ford/Vauxhall/Mazda, 4-5 speed, live axle...
I could go on. My only problem with the Minari styling is that it looks too "modern" for my taste. But they handle extremely well, as does its replacement, the Scooby-based 4WD Murtaya.
I wouldn't consider the Minari a bitsa just because some of the trim comes from other donors. All of the running gear is pure Alfa, just lighter and more chuckable. If you subscribe to the "function over form" school (as ALL 7even enthusiasts do), what's not to like???
The AROC magazine were impressed enough to give the car its own register, run by a guy from Sussex I think.
I'll shut up now
