few minor updates on the 1.3s
i have replaced the sparkplugs and leads, rotor and distributorcap, and adjusted the ignitiontiming.
synchronized the deel"orto carbs and adjusted them a bit
then i replaced the frontstruts for a set i had with yellow koni-inserts, and some APEX loweringsprings
also changed the rearsprings for lowered springs, don't know the make
but i think the stance is much better now, had to remove the front mudflaps now
also found out that the 10mm spacers are things i'm not happy with, they're designed to be used for a lot of cars, so the boltholes and the centre-hole is way to big for the 33, so it suffered from a lot of vibrations while driving
anyway, 14" is too small for me, so i put some deep 15" 5 spokes under it i had lying around
i also replaced the rearlightclusters and changed to series 3 SW units
i still wasn't satisfied with the performance of the 1.3s, not as i rememberd my old purple 1.3s, so i took the dello's of, and replaced them with webers i had in stock
i had those on the shelf for almost 3 years now, so i will drive the 33 for a week orso, and then synchronize and adjust the carbs, performance is much better now, even with carbsynchronisation a bit off.
then last week when i was looking at the classifieds on the dutch alfaclubforum i couldn't resist myself again
a '94 series 3 1.7 IE on 16" AZEV alloys with a blown headgasket for 200 euros
that's a bargain for those wheels alone, but when we went to collect it last night, the 33 ran fine, it was a 70km trip home, and the temperature stayed nice and started running on all four instead of the 3 it did when we left, so i think that with a fresh set of plugs and leads the 33 will be ok, so it can be sold as a complete car with APK, that's the dutch MoT.
