Sorted out all the a/c pressure hoses tonight !
Although it was a difficult job and my hands are sore, I'm very happy with the result.
As you may know, when I closed the engine and put it on the car, I didnt do anything with the a/c system, just bolted the compressor on..... the wrong way
Hoses on the compressor should be facing sideways and not up.
Turned that around and fitted hoses:
1 - From compressor "S" source - to left side evaporator
2- From left side evaporator to right side evaporator
3- From right side evaporator to filter ( that was the hardest , passing the hose between the crossmember and lower cams with safety clearance )
4 - From filter to heater/a/c box
5 - From box back to compressor "D"
Then I did the electrical:
3 relays - First one is connected with 2 cables on the heater controls inside the car. Opens and gives power to the other 2. Second one is for left side evaporator fan and compressor clutch. This one gets power from the first relay and trigger from the filter's valve! Third one is for right side evaporator fan !
.... they could have done that so much easier
Also to specify. If the heater fans are switched off, the 2 cables that go in from the first relay will not trigger the other 2 !
Tested everything and works perfectly... without any air in the system that is.
Question: If there is no pressed air in the a/c system, then the filter valve will not open and give trigger to the second relay ???
So... apart from needing a belt for the compressor
, from the worn thread on the pressure valve
, and from the fact that the system need "air" in it
I'm all done
