Re: Project P4
Engine took me about 1 month to complete. I could have done it a lot faster but I wanted to take my time and make everything perfect. Machining was costly. Took the block once to oversize it, took the heads once for filling out the corrupted water drains and bore them down.
Then I had to take them again because I wasnt satisfied with the way the valves sat on the heads even though I did them by hand.
Then ... surprise ... I had to take them again because the colombo & bariani cams were too stiff and wouldnt turn easily. So I had them do some lineing on the cam bases.
Remember to close your hydraulic tappets and check if they work before you close the heads. If you dont and your tappets push the valves even slightly to open , then the car might not start and even if it does you will hear that click click all the time
