Re: rev counter gone phut . . .
My old Ti rev counter was transistorised and drove a moving coil meter movement. Without stripping down the instrument panel it will be difficult to check whether power is getting to the integrator circuit, but for starters you need to check the lead from the points side of the coil is connected - the engine bay is a hostile place for electrical connections, maybe you have an open circuit there. Failing that, you will need to buzz through the harness from the coil connection to the instrument panel, and then its stripdown time!
The circuit was all discrete components on my Ti, so could be repaired. Not sure if later electronic tachs use IC's though (anyone?). The meter movement is probably OK, but is very delicate so tread carefully!
