Re: Which manifold for 16v?
A couple of points to make here:
I ordered my manifold from Gazzella and 15 months later I had still not had delivery, I would email on a regular basis and received no replies. Even though its listed on their website I would say that they aren't able to get them (even when they were listed on the CSC website they didn't get one for me and as they are no longer listed I would say that you have NO chance with Gazzella). I ordered direct with CSC in the end and got it in 10 days!!!! If you want one, try CSC direct, they may make you one. I had to threaten Gazzella with legal action to get my money back so my advice is to avoid them at all costs
With regards to benefits of straight vs crossover, I would say that CSC haven't just made one up, all their products are dyno tested and apparently the manifold combined with rear box gives up to 12bhp more. I'm sure the AHM one is also good but rather more expensive. In my opinion the straight manifolds tend to give more power at the top end (when I had mine the best power was around 5000-6000rpm), I think the crossovers give better torque which for road use I would say was best.
The autotech one looks nice and is a good price, might be worth a try.
Hope that helps
PS I have a photo and video clip of a car with the CSC system fitted, I'll see if i can post them
