Re: Subaru Engine
No offence - but I would have build another sud with the V8 engine and kept the turbo-engine in the original car. But again - it's a little overkill to have 2 wild sud's with high powered engines
But what about MOT's? If I build a car like that, I will surely by murdered by the danish MOT-people...
Take my alfasud for example - it's born with 84hp(1.5), and you are allowed to tune your engine with a maximum of 20% ~ 101hp max. So I can't even throw a 105hp 1.5 engine from a 33 in it!!!
But you can tune the original block with all the horsepower in the world, but you cannot change the bore/stroke or install turbo/supercharger. So now I have 140hp on the original block(yesh... I cheated a little bit and changed the stroke
) and it's legal with 140hp - but not with the 105hp engine from a 33. Stupid? yesh...
And by the way - Great job!
I wouldn't in my wildest dreams, have thougt that a V8 could fit in an Alfasud. I still miss the boxer-sound, but my oh my it sounds good with the V8
