Re: Sprint Restoration
I bought a Bosal exhaust for my 75TS last year and it was such a poor fit that I had to cut one of the front pipes and bolt it to the manifold and then weld it back together again. When I first fitted it I broke the flange on the cast iron manifold as the two flanges were not flush and I could not see the joints as they are between the engine and chassis leg. It cost me £50 for another manifold from a friends stock of spares. It`s also too noisy, and I mean noisy rather than throaty.
As for the bit that fits over the Sud manifold that the hot air intake fits on. I made one out of a few bits of mild steel and welded them together. It does not have to be a work of art as nobody will see it down there, apart from you and the MOT man.
