Re: 33 Rear Beam in Sud
Thanks for all of the replies so far.
I have cables, handbrake, axle, discs (OMP racing obbies) from a 33 and Rally Design hydramechanical calipers all which I 've picked up over the past few months by trawling around.
Weight savings come from:-
33 beam is a simple (bent) bit of tube, the Sud is a fabricated sheet metal thing of greater surface area.
33 discs don't have the massive lumpy outset hubs that the Sud has.
Hydramechanical calipers are aluminium bodied instead of Sud cast iron affairs.
(I'll weigh the lot as I progress and post the results)
Not sure on MOT compliance, currently I am running hydraulic rear handbrake as front brakes were converted to outboard to get around heat build up with inboard Sud calipers.
So just to confirm is all I need now 33 dampers and springs?
