A fire up and a Youtube clip of that bespoke exhaust system doin' its stuff would be an even better christmas gift to all who have been following this
I couldn't help but think of the 6C when I heard The Stig running that Alfa V6 engined Stratos replica round the TG test track in last weeks show.
Keep it up Phil, i'm trying not to chip in unless I have something useful to say.

They forgot to mention that Stiggy blew the engine up - that's why it stopped mid-circuit. The wet lap time (with pirouttes) was set with a replacement engine allegedly running on 5 cylinders... I'm sure Phillip's 6C will sound better

I guess the theory there is to scare the poor thing into surrender!

Just got home tonight to find a big tube in the post. It contains a lot of HUGE electrical diagrams for the 164 which will make the job so much easier ---- MANY THANKS to Young/Old Fashioned Alf

In all seriousness would a gathering of the troops help push the 6c along Philip ? I'm sure a few of us could pop up, down & accross to offer assistance
Top plan GTV68

Yes I did use the 164 oil rad - but I had inadvertaintly put a crack in it so I purchased a new similar (but not exact) sized one and left the old one at the rad shop.
....And thanks again for all the wiring help

The 6C has coughed!!!
Having got frozen cutting and splicing wires today I now have sparks at the spark plugs I then popped some fuel into a cylinder and it briefly fired up....
I have got the fuel system pressurised so the next trick will be to get it to run for more than a second........

Wonderful news Philip... hopefully we will see/hear a video from you in the near future.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your 6c in the flesh along with the v8 Sud and many others somewhere next year.

Well done Phillip - and Young/Old Alf and all who provided assistance. Another big step forward. Progress should be swift with a six-cylinder soundtrack to provide motivation... and animation

Looking forward to hearing noise!

Thanks to all - especially Young/Old Alf and Arjen of the Alfa Romeo 164 Register. A bit more progress and it has run four times now - a total of four seconds! I can only get it to run by squirting petrol into the plenum chamber through a breather hole - so I am now looking at the fuel injector system and tidying up the temporary wiring
--- Oh and here is the wasps nest remains (The small bits and dust filled the dyson twice) - as you can tell - it was a BIG nest
