Hi Melv - no problem, thanks for looking.

YoungAlf - Again many thanks for the good ecu I will let the Autoelectrician Have it when he comes to do the electrics and I will ask specifically that he checks out those relays.

Supercharged - Again thanks Chris but I suspect the Sud CV "stub axle" is different to the Sprint one- but I will be able to use mine if I cannot source a spare pair in the UK?

Despite repeated requests I have had no response at all from the AO about my limit

Hopefully they will up your limit. Don't really see why they won't. I use photobucket for photo hosting though, they are quite good.

That was much better as I now have an answer - they cannot increase my attachment limit - but I can upload unlimited images to the Images section......
However if you have to change sections to follow the thread comments with pictures I don't think that is particularly useful. What do other readers/posters think?

As an alternative I will try to delete some earlier redundant pictures from the thread to see if that frees up some space.

Well deleting earlier pictures has worked, so in future it will have to be one pic in - one pic out! Anyway here is the "Improved" pipe for the engine bay

Maybe the whole thread could be moved to the Just Images lounge?

Don't take no for an answer, it would be a shame to loose images to such an interesting thread and of great value to AO. I understand they can't change the limit to your user group but they can create a new user group and up the limit to that. Perhaps you could suggest that they create a user group for users undertaking huge jobs like yours with a higher image limit?

I hope the 6C does'nt start and stop like my posts.
The editing of pics issue .may compromise my request that the original deep blue donor 164 be included in the thread, assuming of course Sixnut took a photo of it before wielding the angle grinder.
The 164 with its special heritage is diappearing from our highways at an alarming rate.
My red 3litre with fresh MOT parked alongside the 6C with same DLA qualification ,might keep the 164 flag flying.
Better still together with Mick Twohys Silver 164 Auto .from where those worn brake pads came.
Mick is another guardian of Alfa heritage.
Something to think about.
Lest we forget.

was getting near to my limit and was thinking about deleting old posts and replacing them with photobucket links. a bit of a faff but at least the pics/links would still be there for late comers

It would be a massive job but uploading ALL the photos to photobucket and re-editing all the old posts giving links instead of attached images is probably the way to do it, otherwise people only just finding the thread are going to miss out on the details of the build.

Not much to report as I am still waiting for the auto electrician but I did refit that breather pipe and it looks much better in the engine bay. We have also been doing lots of "New grandson" visits...

Pretty soon you'll get more grandson visits when your daughter will drop him off to go to work

How about a baby seat in the 6c ?

Did they start working on it yet ?

Hi S16V
Unfortunately daughter is 150 miles away so quick visits are not very easy
I've not been pushing for the autoelectrician visit as it is really quite convenient for me not to be playing cars at present - and with the 6C away I'm being a gardening hero!

good luck with the juggling phil
i don't envy you those days of having a list of jobs and only being able to do a few, especially when the alfa gets pushed down the list
it feels a bit like i've retired from work now

Gardening huh ! I bet your wife loves you so much right now

The bet the 6c is something like " out of sight out of mind " right now. I know the feeling.
I have my "Sprint Driftmachine " at a friends garage and I dont see it every day so progress is slow on it.
I get the feeling of nostalgia from time to time .... right now that I mentioned it

sort of
i'm still a keen lancia fan, despite selling the prisma recently. had a couple of lancia dedra's before but have now the chance of a 1.8i.e. one for a quick project, failed its MOT on welding around the back end. a shame to let my welder gather dust
found a train journey from Boston to Yeovil for 29-50 so the nexy project might not be far away give me something to do when the sud gets packed away at the end of september

No wonder you've been quiet so long !!!
How are we gonna see your progress on that one though ?
Will you post it in "other makes" forum ?

Maybe if we all ask the moderator's nicely they will allow you to post it in this forum
