Wow! All major bodywork done then!

Should we start a "guess the colour" sweepstake

Seriously though, its an amazing restoration/modification programme, I don't know how you've managed to get to this point so quickly. But I guess time is ticking - when's this Italian noshery bash???

Colour is Silver/Grey and the Italian Car Day is the 12th July so the plan is two weeks bodyprep/prime/spray and the three weeks assembly/finish as much as possible.............

Finally out of the garage then Philip !

Its about time now to put that recently bought 16v engine on your engineless Sprint !
It will get the engine out of your way and will keep you bussy until you get your 6c back

Will you be able to take some pictures from where the car has gone ?

I will not be thinking about the 16V engined Sprint for a while yet.....but it is strange not to have a Sprint lurking in the garage
My wife quite likes the pause, and the garden is benefitting from some attention!!
I will be able to take some pictures in the Spray booth later this week.

the race is over? i don't think so, you may well beat me yet

will they really be able to turn it round in 2 weeks for the painting? that's pretty quick

No pics yet as the sprayer wanted it to harden for 24 hours (it was a thick coating of primer!) so it will be in the morning for the pics......

Just wanted to say i am really impressed with the car! It looks really good as it was getting trailered off. Looks very wide from the back. Bet it sounds great with that v6! Well done again, cant wait to see the pics once it has had a coat of paint!

Well Jason is making great progress with the body prep and primer spraying, but it is so dusty today that the photos are poor I'm afraid

Looks like its got quite a bit of negative camber on the rear wheels.. Is that going to be a good thing with a RWD mid-engined car? I know it makes for good handling when its the front end of a 164..

watch out Kev ! He is right behind you

Although Philip is faster in progress he still has the engine to start and run , which can be a tricky job with all that electronic stuff.
Still has the radiator issue to sort out as well, which also could be a pain in the rear end !

Could be a close call

too true, he was being a bit crafty telling me i had won, making me take my foot off the gas only to speed around the outside

be nice to get both cars out this summer though

Well observed Pud! There is slightly more negative camber in my rear set up than there was in the original standard 164 front set up - whether that is a good thing remains to be seen - but it is not a track car.... so as long as it is well mannered at reasonable speeds I shall be happy.
The radiator is already positioned and I have most of the pipes/bends and clips for connections to the engine.....
S16V is of course quite correct though in thinking that the wiring/ECU stuff will need a lot of time to sus out.
It will be out on show for July 12th.....and hopefully also running!!!
