Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

Does anyone know of the whereabouts of an Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo?

I am not to concerned about condition as long as it is all there.

I used to own ones of these in the 80s (Number 120) and would really love to get my hands on one again.

:-)

Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

I'd have a word with Bryan Alexander who runs the Alfasud register - he owns the only one I know of (pictured next to my Green Cloverleaf)

See here for contact details http://www.freewebs.com/alfasud/theregisterteam.htm

Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

I have seen Trofeo's for sale over the last few years, so they must be out there.

Keep looking!

Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

^^^ Not far off!

Limited edition - 400 examples made worldwide (-dunno whether this is correct)
Built in 1982 and is a real legend - there are numerous websites about it.

Sale due to lack of time.
In original and complete condition. Beautiful car to restore.

Engine is not seized (it was started during the summer). Will need trailoring away.
Amateur collector's car (no tyre-kickers, thanks for your understanding)

The vehicle is advertised elsewhere so we reserve the right to end the auction early.

(In Belgium / On German Ebay)

Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

I don't think you'll find many (any) in the UK. Both these and the Sprint Speciale were even worse than the Sud saloons for body rot. I scrapped two Trofeos in 1992 due to terminal body rot. I was told they were cars that had been sat in compounds for two years, tonced up with some flash bits and sold on - but that may have been the Speciale. It's so long ago!

Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo

I heard a story from someone who should know that the last sprints with the bodykits were the worst.
He knew the guy whose job it was to take the cars off the storage at the docks and remove any rust and respray as necessary
