Are there any manuals or books on the 1.7 16v engine? either in the 145 or 33 form?

haynes dont do much do they?

also try www.mercianmanuals.co.uk the engine manual is about £12 and highly recommended

What happened to your old car? I think I recognise it - was it a French LHD import with ABS? If so I nearly bought that myself, it belonged to a chap called Linden in Cheltenham and it was £4000 (in 1998) - I test drove it but decided I'd prefer to wait for a RHD car

yeah it was the import with ABS. i have the old auto italia with it for sale in..

i bought it for £440 off ebay about 3/4 years ago.. it just got too costly for me, and i lost my job.. sad to see it go, but damn happy i got another!
