Hmmm In need of 2 x dust covers (60573218)and tampons for late Boge shocks!

Hi everyone!

Finally I got most of the front suspension components for my late 33 1.4 Imola.
GOD how hard was to find the pieces...Everything needed to be ordered around the world and of course to be paid double

I got:
2 x Boge (60569483 / 60577815) both sides
4 x H&R springs 35mm lower
1 x left side top mount (Malo Akron)
1 x right side top mount (Impergom) 111 EURO very very hard to find, through an alfista guy called Thanassis, that probably most of you know him. THANK YOU THANASSIS

Now remain 2 x 60573218 (dust covers for late Boge shocks) to find. It also seams impossible to find them online, but I really must find them as I can't install all new bits without finding the dust covers first...

Please, need some help here !

Cheers
Elvis

try Afra in Italy, fill in this request form with the part number and they will send you an order proforma. I ordered some of these earlier this year, I think they were around 19 euros each plus postage:

Afra s.a.s. - Estimate Request

I dealt with Arianna who was very helpful (although delivery was quite slow)

I think your spell-checker may have caused a mistake in the subject line...!

ha ha if you're referring to the TAMPON (part) of the title, well that's how we call the soft foamy thing that you put to the axle of the shock, to keep it clean, and then you put the rubber boots.

If the case is for something else, then I didn't get the joke...
But I still need the TAMPONS...not 4 me of course

Best,

Elvis

Hey Elvis,

I found a full kit for both shocks on german ebay. wasn't very expensive, was delivered swiftly, and quality is good.

Jiggered if i can remember what the tampons and bellows are called in German tho

think I just spent a long while trawling through the 28000 items that came up when i searched alfa 33!

I see the link and have already check it, Gritsop. I think you showed me a similar item on german ebay when I got the right support, but it seams to be for the S1 and S2 33. Can they be mounted somehow on my S3. I'm asking this as the old original dust boots I have, have a 2-3 mm thick metal ''ring'' on top of them. The metal bit is just where the boot seats to the shock and keeps the boot centered after the top mount is on it's place, but this ones on ebay are without it and most probably if I get them I need to install them the old way like you do on S1 & S2...! The top mount needs the metal ring of the boot under itself so it can seat properly on the top of the shock...or I just can cut off the rubber and put the metal bit under the top mounts just to keep them centered? If someone can send any picture of this set up for S1 and S2,on their cars, so I can see how they are mounted.

Cheers!
Elvis
