yes, did sell recently for a lot less, but has had a complete stripdown and paint since then.

I really like the colour, it's unusual. The last Sud I had took years and years to bring back to life so buying one that's ready to use is a nice thought. Whether it's worth 4k depends on the attention to detail IMHO...

Like Kev says a full prep and repaint and fitting a 1.5 engine has its costs....probably worth its money to someone who wants a smart roadworthy runner..

I remember some of the first Suds in the UK came in that colour, mostly N or P reg.
Its nice to see one again in that rather nice blue. The wheels should be grey though.

Now that does look very nice, i remember the photos of it stripped showed it to be unusually solid, well worth the money if he's done a good job. Bank manager may well be getting a visit lol

Not everybody does nice profits mate. The guy who bought it for £900 must have spend quite more to bring it to it's present condition.
Looks excellent. A rare one.

If I had cash to spare I'd buy that little blue ti, cracking example and looks like the guy has done a decent job on the paint.
Seriously lovely little Sud... colour perfect too in my humble opinion

I spoke to Neil about halfway through the rebuild on this one. We met up when I sold him the engine and a few other bits. He told me how solid the car was and how his budget was doing. From the pictures, it looks to me as if he has done a fine job. As a few of the others have said, and considering his spend levels not just the car and spares but the small repairs the car did need, prep and paint, plus his consumables, he wont be making much of a profit. It would owe him another 4k if he wanted a wage from it too! All the hard work has been done, not everyone can do it. Very rare car in such good order. Got to be worth the money.

Yes looks a nice one now.. Well worth 4k, as the bloke has kept it original and its a SI Ti I think its still got some money in it at that price, its clear from supply & demand that 4k+ for a good original sud is a fair price at the moment, its the time and cost to get them to that condition though as we all know, these cars are to increase much more in the future so its a good investment for someone at that price.
A good but not mint mk2 escort RS2000 is now well over 10k as a comparison

I've just noticed that the S1 is just up the road from me - "must resist - must resist..."
