Valve guides query

Are the valve guides on the boxer engines able to be changed? Stripped a cylinder head tonight to find one totally FUBAR but haynes manual says it's a dealer job to fix. If repairable what's involved, if not I need a cylinder head for the left bank of cylinders (2 + 4) if anyone knows of one going spare . . . . .

Also while I have you, are the cam pulleys on both sides the same? I ordered one from a well known supplier for the right bank (1 + 3) and was sent the same pulley as the other side. I thought they were different? Does it make any difference??

I asked this from a specialist few months back, and he said they can be changed no problem.
