Engine swap Alfa 33

Hello,

I have an Alfa Romeo 1.7 twin carb build in 1990;
I want to change my engine preferable a diesel one, I would be grateful for some suggestions of engines that would fit because I have trouble finding an original engine.

Alfa made a 33 diesel it had a 3 cylinder turbo made by VM if you google it it should pop up ciao daz

Thanks for your suggestion, I have found an engine 1.8 TD 3 cylinder for Alfa 33 but is not that good.
What other engine would fit (especially diesel) ???

Why not convert to LPG?.

........or a V8!
