1983 Gold Cloverleaf - taxed mot'd and insured, just looks rubbish at the moment - but goes like stink with the 1.7 8v in it

Re: how many suds on this site
Hi,
Green 1984 1.5 SC 3-door fitted with tuned 1.6 engine & uprated 33 / Sprint suspension / brakes. I am planning the occasional Trackday / sprint when I reckon everything has bedded-in as just finished mods.
Also 1.7 Sprint in bits, suspension in Sud.

Re: how many suds on this site
I'm just trying to think of all the 'chrome bumper' suds I know of:
There's a red one with plastic wheel arches and bigger wheels recently sold on a website from Brighton.
Theres the dark blue one at Red Motori (plus the two others he has got)
The converted later model in Ireland thats been on one of the Classic Cars website for months
There are the two I was parked next to at Brooklands Auto Italia this year (Red 1.5 and the well known met brown one)
The 1.3 one (advertised as owned by a poet) recently sold on a classic car website.
An apparently immaculate bright yellow 1.5 was sold by a dealer about 2 years ago.
The Trofeo (?) sold by Epping Motor Co about 4 years ago
Theres at least another red 1.5 on the Alfasud register.
Stephen Parry has sold a red one which is being fully rebuilt and he has at least one other low mileage restoration project
Thats 13 more....

Re: how many suds on this site
I've got two:
1982 TiX
1984 Green Cloverleaf
Pat looking at your reg plate I used to own FKH 531Y, it was a silver Alfetta GTV now long since scrapped but must have been from the same garage or area as your Sud.

Re: how many suds on this site
 Hi baldy:
Those front seats of yours look fabulous!!!!, and the red carpet really makes the interior look stunning!! The originals mine has is Recaro, wonder what make is yours? I just wish we had the 1.7 16V motors here, all we were lucky to get was the 1.5.

Re: how many suds on this site
One more - a 1981 TI (boot, single-carb, s.2 dash) now fitted with a period dealer supplied twin carb (40mm Weber) conversion kit and many useful or lurid tweaks (including a 'Hot Wheels' sticker and a bobble-head Jesus resembling my favoured mechanic, Fernando). Photos from the 2008 Auto Italia gathering in Canberra, Australia (see: www.autoitaliacanberra.com). My previous Sud (1982 4-door) is now cared for by a friend and runs a 1.7 Twin carb with extractors - limited ground clearance but good for 93 hp at the wheels and annoying v-8 drivers). Both cars had never rusted. Go Suds!
