sold my old ti wheels for a bargain price of £50 they had been refurbished by previous owner so were still good and tyres also .
The person that purchased the wheels was david that was about 20 to 23 ,his first car was a sud ti(the white one mk2 i was going to buy a little while ago ).
hes a nice bloke and loves his alfasud and hopefully he will be on here soon

Re: my old wheels went to good use

I bought my first Alfasud when I was 23 in 1978 (which I still have) and after my 1300 Beetle and trying out my friends and their dads Anglias, Morris 1300, Marina`s MGA`s, Spitfire`s and a Mk2 Cortina GT, it was a revelation, and I am sure you can understand why. But, to get to the point, I am not so sure that a 23 year old today would find it a great car. I would be interested to hear his comments. Or anyone else`s. It may be hard to believe, but its a 1960`s design.

Re: my old wheels went to good use

just took mine for re-test this morning, and went the long way round,
which is the first ( and last ) proper drive i have had in it,
and boy i was grinnnig the whole way there and the whole way back...

I really had forgotten how much fun they are to drive, esp with all the sound effects of twin carbs roaring and cracking and popping on over-run
( am so glad i got another to replace it)

and to me they dont even look old fashioned like most 70`s/80`s cars do.
Utterly brilliant machine.

the memories should give you some encouragement in the months to come are you aiming to keep one eventually, or become a serial restorer
looking forward to finding out for myself mate my sprint was good, if the sud is as good (or better ) then i will be happy
