Re: Sprint specifications

The 1.7 trim isn't beige. It's actually a black and white checked cloth that was also used in the series 1 75 Green Cloverleaf I think. I had a 75 2.5 V6 Cloverleaf with that trim and it looked grey from a distance. I really like the black and green trim in the 1.5 Green Cloverleaf Sprint and the green carpet versions were quite an eye opener though they didn't look too good with an Alfa red exterior. What's that phrase... red and green should never be seen together

Re: Sprint specifications

Yes it has been resprayed. Originally silver. Interior is the grey check and everything - bar the black bumpers - looks identical to the pics in the brochure.

Ah yes, remember that now - still has the fishnet headrests too. Think I was picturing a Sud interior......

Mine has that but with black carpet which is a bit less in yer face than the green one. Not sure if all silver cars came with black carpet - perhaps not judging by funky_com's photos... http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...m/DSCN2648.jpg

This is the rear of mine (excuse the crappy photo)

Re: Sprint specifications

The early cars came with green carpet regardless of exterior colour (white, red, black and silver being the only options I believe). I'm not sure when the carpet was switched to black but it may have been around 1986 but someone else may be better informed.

Re: Sprint specifications

I think green carpet was used in models with sud floor up until '82 few on '83. Those with 33 floor had black floor....

Re: Sprint specifications

My two '84 1.5 Sprints both had the green carpet, one car was silver and the other was white.

Have seen a Sprint with red carpet.....which looked quite striking

Re: Sprint specifications

Nice.......probably was a pic of your car I saw with the red carpet

Like the seats too......I had a pair of Recaro SR's in my 1.7 - best seats I've ever had in a car, although did restrict rear view a little.

Just bought a pair of Sparco Torino 2's for my 156......should be a fun exercise getting those in

Re: Sprint specifications

Resurrecting old post, but colour of my car is Rosso 251 (as I say was resprayed) and am restoring the skirts to black matt with the window surrounds to match properly. Interior is partially stripped out to hammerite the floor in red obviously. COming on apace . . . .
