Interior Lights

Hi All,

I made a post a few months back about the illuminated switches like electric windows not working/ being very dull.

Ive decided to replace the bulbs and was just wondering if these would be suitable :

KINGBRIGHT | L-53SGD-12V | LED's | Optoelectronics | Farnell UK

Thanks!

Matt

Re: Interior Lights

This works with much less voltage that 12v so you have to use a 220ohm resistor otherwise it will not work....

Re: Interior Lights

Hi Greek - and Matty
I think you may be ok to try these as they are rated to work at 12V. Normally LEDs are 3v so would need a resistor in series for a 12V supply, but these do seem to be specified as 12V. Try it and see

Re: Interior Lights

Yes it says max 12v but i have tried couple like those and they never worked more than 10 min in 12v. I dont know maybe the quality was crap (chinese or something) because they were quite cheap....
