The red Sprint looks STUNNING, always fancied one - but haven't got the space ( or a fully understanding other half )

yes, i'm watching it with interest £2910 at the mo and still not at reserve i know its a nice looking car and is probably worth that (and more) to anyone not daft enough to build their own but i too am not so keen on the 4 door cars. how does that car get a higher bid than your own one did mark a shiny trophy it may have but yours was far more an appealing car to me
(sorry to anyone on here if it's your car , i do still like it a lot though ,black being my 2nd fav colour )

Dont think that didnt occur to me too
I think mine fetched all the sud-owner-wannabe`s out and this black car is reaping the benefits

same here pat both colours suit the sud nicely, although some of the unusual colours look interesting, like that green one

always worth another look at that one, stunning car
see the black 4 door one didn't get anymore bids, £2910

Re: sud ti green cloverleaf
I recall reading a road test from 1974 with a 1200Ti Sud, an Audi 80GT and an RS2000 Mark 1. The upshot is that the Sud rang rings around the other two despite being 800cc down on the Ford. Unless you're an old fart like me it's hard to realize just how far ahead of the game the Sud was. You couldn't even compare a Mark 1 1300 Escort in the same sentence.
The problem with Suds is that they have very limited appeal - and that's because there are almost none left. It can be the best car in the world but if there are not enough left to go round, the car becomes forgotten. The world seems to have forgotten the Alfasud it seems and the appalling reputation for body rot is still an issue.

very true, all the old magazine road tests i read seem to all come to the same conclusion, the alfasud was by far the best drivers car
as for corrosion, it isn't just an alfa thing. in the yard where the 3 suds sit waiting for their final days on the banger track there is also a mk2 escort that is far worse than any of the suds . fred flintstone wouldn't need to make any modifications
