Re: Sud Sprint Racer

Hi,
I'm in my second season racing a 1.5 sud@ Knockhill. It used to be raced in the ARCA championship and I have replaced (due to breaking a piston!) the engine with an ex-race engine that produces 141bhp @7000 (on the dyno); so you're doing very well if you've got 170!
I hope to do a couple of the Future Classics next year.
Good luck & good racing!
Colin

Re: Sud Sprint Racer

Colin, the Sud (and the Sprint) are also eligible for the CSCC "Tin Tops" series. I wish I had anywhere near 140 Bhp in my 33! (See te "my Race Alfa 33" thread).

Re: Sud Sprint Racer

Andy & Colin, My Sprint showed 170bhp at 8000. But as every one knows rolling roads are not the most accurate methods of measurement. each one varies so we always use the same rolling road. Its Pete Baldwins at Orwell. Even if we knock off 15% its still a good figure. Mike

Agreed about rolling road accuracy...but the last time mine was rolling roaded (by Roger Donnan) it was giving out about 115 Bhp. Probably about right seeing as its basically only blue printed.

Re: Sud Sprint Racer

My 1700 shows 130BHP so your 1500 I'd agree is a good reading as they are built to the same regs.
