another sud bites the dust

me and my brother were trying to get hold of a mk2 sud ti near where i live at a garage he used to work for ,it was not back condition but did need restoring anyway to cut a long story short i went back there today to ask how much they wanted for it and they have broken it up for spares so there goes another one which is a shame as i would of had it.:

that's bad news pat , from the pics i had seen (if its the one i am thinking of) it didn't look so bad, a fairly complete car anyway i guess those early cars that need restoring are worth more in spare parts than how much profit could be made (if any ) after a proper proffesional restoration. different for us amatuers as the labour comes free
still a shame though

I know of some breakers that'll a break a brand new bike because it's worth more that way!

Never mind brand new bikes. I have heard of good rare Alfa`s being broken up as they are worth more as spares and no doubt this is also going on with other classics. They call it business.

Interestingly, early twin spark engined 145s and 146s are worth more as an engine than as a whole car!
