Well definitely not going to break it. I've started working on it as there seems to be less to do than on my red one. Had a good look over it and it got little plugs all over it from Dinol rust treatment that I guess was done from new. It's clearly had some money spent on it as it's had sections in the bottoms of the door done very professionally and the sills have been done as well. Looks really solid underneath. Only problems are on the inner wings but even these aren't as bad as I thought. Most of the rust is surface rust where it's been welded and had seam sealer applied and then painted. Looks like some of the rust is just coming through the seam sealer so I've cleaned loads of it off then went a bit mad and starting cutting some of the old metal out:

Then the dog came to help:

Fitted two plates, not the neatest welding in the world but it'll do:

Really frustrating welding it though, would be going along nicely then suddenly blowing holes in the metal all the time. Remember my mate who's a professional welder getting really annoyed with my Suds years ago as he had the same problem, put it down to poor quality metal.
One more piece to do on top then there is a couple of bits that need doing on the inner wing from underneath, I'll need to take the strut out to do those. Then just the bit under the heater box, the other inner wing, get it running properly, bleed or replace the clutch hydraulics, put the interior back together................
It appears to be a TiX according to the badge on the back ! It's also got a body coloured grille so i assume it is even though the log book doesn't say TiX.
