Sprint dashboard heater vents

Hi guys. The heater air vents on top of the dashboard, are they the same from Series 1 to Series 3? One on mine is broken which I am looking to replace.

Regards, Mark

Does any one know if 60536590 is for the later Sprints?

Re: Sprint dashboard heater vents

Juts ask if with the vent you get the full set , i mean also the locking springs .... Below the plastic vent there is a system that keeps it to place...

Re: Sprint dashboard heater vents

Got the new vent come today in the post with the two springs but the question is, how do you fit it? I've been trying for the past hour to get the new one in with no luck. I just can't get the springs to flex enough to fit under the edges. I don't want to force it too much incase it breaks the vent or marks the dashboard

Re: Sprint dashboard heater vents

After 3 hours of trying yesterday, me and my Dad gave up but today with the use of a bit of insulation tape my Dad got it in with only one spring being fitted

Re: Sprint dashboard heater vents

Hi mate,

the way I did it was get some fairly wide tape and make a cradle for the wires and the clip to sit on and stick it to the underside of the dash in approximately the right position. I put the vent on top and put an L shape screw driver through the vent and under the clip and pulled it up into place. Then you can pull the tape out and if any goes down the pipe just turn on the fan which will blow it back up.

Cheers Will
