Alfasud 1186cc Ti, the restoration starts
A few pictures of my latest purchase, it's a dead ringer for my first sud in 1987. As you can see i have started to repair the area under the servo, heater and battery. It looked pretty good until i wire brushed the paint off, to be fair there were only a few small holes, but the whole area was so pock marked and thin that i thought to just remove the whole lot. I've done it all before as you know, so not too daunting. There is the edge of the passenger floor to repair, and some work to do around the bottom of the rear inner panel, more pictures of that later. The engine runs nicely now, just the brakes to fix.
Does anyone know anything about this car? it was off the road from 97, has had an entire new front end, including wings, bumper, indicators lights suggesting a front end prang, the doors have new sections let into the bottom, a new windscreen still with sticker, and it's been resprayed.

Tell you what mate, you certainly get stuck in, no hanging about...
Ahh I will just cut out the whole damn battery tray and fix it properly..
Excellent
I love the colour, is it polissipo blue or something spelt like that ?
My first Sud was that colour, suits the car really well.
Good luck with it, it will no doubt be a lovely car when finished.

Well done on starting the work so quickly and keep the pictures coming - and I agree, the colour is really suited to the car.
Best wishes

I have nothing but admiration and respect for your ability to undertake a job of this magnitude. I think I would have passed out at the thought of doing what you are doing.
Brilliant. Well Done.
Oh by the way my favourite colour for the Sud
