Electric window switch

My drivers window switch has broken the whole button/pull/push thing has come out.

It looks as though it has broken as there are like hinge things on it to sit over so it rocks. Are they easy to replace if I get a non broken replacement?

Yes. Just unscrew from door pull, take screws off back of switch unit and change broken plastic switch.
Obviously a duff design as I've broken 2 despite very careful use.

Re: Electric window switch

It's the same as the 156 long design if it helps to find one

Re: Electric window switch

I've managed to break one of those things as well, seemingly by just looking at it. Where can you get new ones from? I've looked on ebay and there doesn't seem to be anything on there.

Re: Electric window switch

Likewise - common fault. Had this happen on my 166 and my wife's 2004 156 as well. I replaced the whole unit on the 166 (part cost 98.64) but on the 156 I figured it was enough to swap round the passenger and driver switches (in the long unit) as there's a switch in the passenger door anyway so the dodgy one wouldn't need to be used.
BTW I did obtain a used long switch panel for the 156 but they changed the connectors underneath at some point so try and get one the same age as your car if you go for used. Piece of cake to change though.
