I sold my 350Z (UK spec, 54 plate, GT pack, black, 12k miles, still in warranty) a couple of months ago. It's very high on the list of the least depreciating cars (4th, IIRC). That didn't stop dealers, including main agents, sucking in their breath etc., etc. Had no end of silly offers, comments like "specialist market", "model has been updated", "needs two rear tyres", "not really our kind of thing", "heavy on fuel
" - you get the idea.
The thing was losing about £450 a month so had to unload it to a dealer with nobody on the 350Z forum making any inquiry at the £18k asking price including the new tyres. Sold it for less than this (and way under book trade price) of course. Two days later it was up for £21.5k (way over dealer book price of course) at Westover Bournemouth. Seems to have sold quickly too. I hope whoever bought it finds it on the owners club site and puts the two together
Seems to me the 166 is in the same territory regarding market, engine, production status. The dealers will sing its praises when selling of course, but will only offer silly money on PX or outright sale.
Just my experience here - I hope yours will be better.
