Re: 166 handling - change wheel rims or dampers?
I've been reading this thread with interest, I have just had to replace the two front tyres due to worn inside treads (borderline fail on the MOT). After discussing the options with my tyre supplier (the tyre Centre, Builder Street, Llandudno -excellent indie), I have fitted 2 Eagle F1s 225/45/W17. My question is, what should the correct allignment be for these beasts? As in erlier replies, the ride does feel a bit floaty when driving over white lines and he had already adjust the allignment on the previous tryes during last years service. The prevous tryes that came fitted with the wheels were Regals and I did manage to get 25k off the fronts whilst the backs are still going strong with another 5k or so left which I think is quite good for cheapo rubbers.
Anyway, he's left the setting at just off '0' and to return in two months too check the wear.
Any help would be appreciated.
