Thanks Dougie, I tried that, to be honest it doesnt really sound any different in pitch but then the noise is only really noticeable above 50-60mph. It is in fact more noticeable when decelerating.
I'm wondering if it could be something else. It's definitely not engine, as I tested that by revving engine when standing still, so if not a bearing it must be some other suspension component. Dont think it's brakes either as they work fine and are very strong.
Problem is I cant really get to an Alfa specialist as there isnt one too near, so I may just get the local garage to have a look at it.
