yes, the AFM is bigger.
There is a oil-water heat exchanger to aid cooling the oil temp (you will see an extra pipe coming out from housing near the water pump that goes down to the oil filter).
There is also a larger diameter intake (+1"?) into the bottom of the air filter box (though the part number was the same so I don't think is orderable).
I also believe there was also oil cooling jets (or something...) in the block, though this eventually became a feature on all late 12V's.
The exhaust system is also different. the cat has two-in/two-out pipes rather than two-in and one-out seen on non-QV models, meaning the mid-pipe before the backbox is a 2-1 pipe rather than single pipe.
