Centre Section

OK had a centre section of exhaust fitted today. LongLife exhaust systems. (since Gazella failed to come up with goods see thead
Custom built from stainless steel, all done and fitted in less than 2.5 hours. Nice quality metalwork, welding neatly done and good fit.

The silencer is very much smaller than OE one - looks very similar to the Raggazon item.
Result? Bit "thrummy" and more vocal at tickover and upto 2000 rpm but after this its no different in sound levels. No complaints from wife yet even after a 120 mile round trip this evening.
Its more of a mellow rumble at tickover, not like some crude Saxo dustbin end pipe joke.
Interestingly the sportronic seems to kickdown and stepdown more readily - something that had always ticked me off about the sportronic in lazy mode.
Did a throttle/ecu reset, which has helped at tickover. Possible change in back pressure may have cuased this?
Cost? 220 inc vat and fitting. (Reggazon item is 160 part only)
