My 166 ts went away on the back of a wagon today, hopefully to be repaired after some muppet drove into the side
The hire car arrived, a 2.0 mondeo
, initial impressions are that its a nice car, nice in the way your granmother means .. like lavender and draw liners kinda way
Its certainly going to do more to the gallon, hangs on much better round corners when in hooligan mode and the window switches aren't going to fall off, but sitting there looking and listening too it its pretty forgettable , an ok car for going places in if your not interested
It does bring home to you just how nice a 166 is and also in a maddening way how much better it should have been - the plastic lids on the dashboard, the window switches !, the engine revs to hard when cruising for total comfort and the suspension while brill up to 8/10 falls to bits when you really throw it at a bend. And then theres the dealers and the aftersales service, my god.
But the way it looks inside and outside are a world above so many other cars on the road. What ever happens im having another
