Re: Worrying hint of a problem with acceleration
Thanks chaps - hasn't done it since but it still has a minute reluctance to start on a cold start. I know it will go. It does it for the first second or so. Hard to describe, but wondered if the two problems were connected.
It's still got a couple of months' warranty, so will wait and see what happens!
My mechanic went over the whole vehicle when I got it and we only found a worn track rod end and split steering rack gaitor on the O/S/F. The chap I bought it off (who owned the car himself for a year) is setting up a new Alfa sales business (Buzz Alfa Sales) and he gets all the cars in tip-top condition by MDZ Italtec in Charlwood, Surrey. It was they who did a £1,000 service including plugs, fluids, cam belt, pulleys, tensioner, air flow meter, alternator belt etc etc. The car was £4k, so I'm hoping with the full Alfa service history it was a worthwhile investment!
Would of liked the bodykit and better alloys as per the one recently sold at St George's that I saw after I got mine!!!! Nevermind.
