Had a good rummage around dead 166s in Sherburn motor spares "yard" this morning.
Lots of expired twinnies with plenty of bits. Numerous ICS. One had a CD multichanger and looked like DSP too. There was a black leather momo interior with memory seats (bit scruffy and owner must have been a chain smoker as ash tray and the centre console tray were overflowing with stubs)
Anyway I picked up a 100% mint V6 7J alloy, spare wheel never used with brand new Goodyear on it for £40.
As well as my driver door switch unit. Weird? Because my old unit it is impossible to remove the pcb from casing but the new unit the pcb comes off easily when back cover removed.
If anyone needs a switch then let me know and i'll try to remove pcb and desloder switch unit. 3 of the 6 166 had busted switches!
Solved problem of front centre console "quirk" got one from scrap and "tweaked" the little rubber bump stops out of lid a touch - provides a touch more bounce to aid opening.
