Re: Got the 166 now the spending starts
I bought mats on Ebay when Alfa mats were £60-70, they are fine but there may vary by supplier.
Radiators may leak but, more importantly, the fins get blocked and the car then overheats in traffic. I bought my Radiator from Applied Radiators (found via Google), about £146 inc next day delivery.
I changed the Rad myself and managed it without removing the front bumper etc as I didn’t have a manual at the time, it can be done but I would follow the manual! Removing the bottom connector is not obvious, Pomeo sent me the following:
You press or squeeze gently on the metal clip and simultaneously pull it out of the radiator....This is what I did and it worked fine....The radiator specialist told me not to touch it at all and but a new one...NO NEED....Try as above...Good luck. Just be gentle with it when you have got the knack its dead easy.
While you’re at it, put suitable rust proofing on the cross member under the rad, it isn’t as well rust proofed as the rest of the body.
I also got a faulty DVD manual off Ebay but the 2nd one (from triffaz) is fine. It doesn’t have a parts list on it.
