164 rear springs / dampers

I also want to replace my rear springs on the early 12 valve V6 164. They have sagged somewhat and I'm now in a position where I regularly hit the bump stops with nothing in the boot and a 2 year old in the back! (a scrawny one at that)!

I've had several sets of springs from various cars of a similar age and they all seem to do it so I was wondering if springs from a later 24 valve car would be a direct replacement?
