Well there is more hp loss in all automatics, they shift slower , and if it is in sports mode it shifts at redline .
Worse fuel consumption,i think its because the engine has to spin more stuff before delivering the power to the wheels, whereas in a manulal its simple , through the clutch , selected gear and straight to the wheels
When i am stuck in traffic i remember why i wanted a sportronic
, sometimes i wish it was manual, but sports mode does a decent job . Anyway i treat it a a big saloon and not a sports car, and i dont expect a lot from it.
And for a big saloon it does the job pretty well, even at traffic lights when i come across supersport tuned clios and the like
or focus st , and if anybody asks, the new focus st is not faster than the 3.0 166..tested and proved, on twisty roads ,with classic fm on the radio
