Well, I spent the day down at my mum's today, who lives down on the coast.
Had a good drive down (quite a few other Alfa's out and about) and parked outside mum's bungalow.
From about mid day, it absolutely bucketed down!
It was when I was leaving this evening, I noticed that the front passenger footwell was sloshing in water!!!
I thought at first that the window had been left slightly open or that there might be an issue with the door seal.
But on closer inspection, I noticed water staining down the side of the dash (the bit that has the vent which runs into the door when it's closed)
There were also drops of water at the bottom of the piece of trim on the inside of the windscreen pillar where it meets the top of the dash.
I'm at this point thinking, all of this water can't have come from around the door... the main suspect has to be the sunroof!
There are drain holes around the inside of the sunroof aperture and suspect that there are drain pipes which run down the windscreen pillars.
My question is, does anyone know if the above is the case?
If so, could it be that the pipe has come adrift somewhere in the windscreen pillar or, possibly blocked?
If so, what sort of job am I looking at?
This hasn't happend before in heavy rain; the only difference today is that I was parked facing down a fairly steep hill.
A little tip if you don't already know...
Baby's disposable nappies are great at soaking up water from carpets!
Any ideas on this one guys?
