'95 vs '96 164

hi all, can somebody tell which body parts differ between the '95 and the +'96 164?
I see the +'96s are more angular and headlights are like "thinner". Could a 95 be "easily" taken to a 96 style line?

Yeah, new headlights and front grille then you are sorted.

On phase 2 headlights are thinner (and incorporate indicators) with an infill strip below, and grille protrudes more. Bonnet, wings and bumper are basically unaltered (bumper smoothed off on non Q models). Photos of my old bellas to compare -

I'm afraid I belong to the pre 95 school where I think the overall shape/deisgn/balance is far more cohesive.
Not sure "upgrading" the older model with the later model styling cues would work

I'd be interested to hear if anyone on this forum has tried this??

Good Luck Alfaromega!!!

Small point: Change was actually made in 1993.

Re: '95 vs '96 164

Its not impossible to upgrade to post facelift headlights as a few of the Yanks have done it in the US, but the wiring to the headlights is different and you have to do a bit of adapting (aka bodging) so its probably more pain than gain.
