166 air vents

Pretty poxy aint they ? Ive got a few broken ones in mine, how do you remove them ? and are they available from dealers

anyone got experience of putting them in without braking them ?

to take them off, pull firmly , try pulling on the edges, then just push them back.. ita 2 piece design, sometimes only the front part comes off, 1 inch deep, but you want to take the whole thing out, 4 5 inches deeep

yeah, dead easy...pull out and push in. They're all the same (fron and back) and also the same as the 156 ones. I got a pair of older 156 ones dead cheap but they didn't have the chrome ring....took em apart and used all the good bits and i've not got two nice chrome ringed working vents in the back

Easiest way to get them out is to use a bit of stiff wire (2mm welding wire) with a hook at the end. Get the hook under the rim right down inside the vent and pull.
Naill's correct the 156 ones are the same, so are readily available from breakers.
