Re: New suspension
Springs and shocks (KYB gas) came from BuyPartsBy and cost about £320.
The bushes came from Gazzella Racing and cost £147, top wishbones were from Alfa Workshop for £92 all in and service from all were excellent.
As for the ride-the improvement is fantastic on the rear and a little improved on the front as the front shocks were in pretty good condition to start with. The handling and steering is now a lot tighter and gives you a lot more confidence in the cars handling.
One other benefit is that the CD player doesn`t skip anymore-so there`s a bonus for anyone being driven mad by tracks skipping when you hit a bump or go round roundabouts.
I don`t know how much I saved by doing it myself, but with the problem of seized bolts etc. it took over 30 hours and that is a fair bit of cash to give to the stealers.
Go for it-it`s not a hard job just a bit chewy-so swear a lot and have lots of tea breaks and you`ll get there.
