Mark147s1...I rescued my first one from Bradford it had knocked up 85,000 miles down south..With luck it'll live out the rest of it's life with me.I was so impressed with it that when I was looking for a replacement car for my daughter I saw a better one so I bought it too as she did not want it.(A new HT lead in her Bravo solved all her problems)(Just like the guy with remington shavers..Victor Kiam I believe....so Mark just another 2,888 to go if above figure correct...)For some reason my wife is reluctant to drive them. One night she rattled the gears on the manual one so as the say in the John Smith beer advert "Shes barred."...better that than a new gearbox.Yet it is the smoothest gear change in all the cars I've ever had.
Mark do yourself a favour try and get one.....It the above no. of 2,890 is correct no wonder main dealers are baffeled when they get one with problems and have to rely on their DET (Dealer Expertise Technician).
Did the 166 sell well anywhere, apart from in Italy? I know it's still available new in Germany but, in Berlin, I have only seen four and one of those is owned by the boss of my local Italian café. Which I'm about to go to for a nice morning Cappuccino and a conversation about the sound of an Alfa V6...
